The course also explains the roles and responsibilities of employers, supervisors, and workers in maintaining a safe jobsite. This training aligns with OSHA’s recommended practices for Safety and Health Programs and NYC Department of Buildings Site Safety Training (SST) requirements.

Learn how an organized safety and health program connects leadership, workforce knowledge, hazard information, effective controls, training, communication, and measurable follow-through. Strong programs are integrated into planning and daily operations rather than treated as paperwork alone.
Review policy, goals, assigned authority, accountability, budgeting, staffing, procurement, planning, visible leadership, and timely resolution of reported hazards.
Support reporting without retaliation, workforce input, inspections, pre-task planning, job hazard analysis, exposure assessment, change management, and competent evaluations.
Apply the hierarchy of controls, develop site procedures, communicate hazards, train for assigned work, coordinate contractors, prepare for emergencies, and verify understanding and implementation.
Investigate underlying causes, track corrective actions, analyze trends, inspect performance, review leading and lagging indicators, document decisions, and revise the program when conditions or results change.
This course is an overview. Employers and controlling parties must build and implement programs appropriate to their operations, projects, employees, contractors, hazards, and current legal duties, with qualified assistance where required.
